This was my first 911 AUTOart model. I admired the detail and finish of the car which evolved later on. 996 GT3 and GT3 RS are still the best drivers GT3 for most of the enthusiasts. They say, the feel of the body, steering and throttle response is almost like a race car which is because unlike some other monstrous “Track use only” like cars, Porsche’s GT3 and some other street versions are derived from the race cars. So this is the road car derived from a race car which is also derived from a road car. The model, as it is in the original car, there is nothing to see in the engine bay. The wheels are fine, brake discs are a little plasticky. The paint is fine. After 996, AUTOart chose to raise up the door windows which was a great decision. The cage, fire extinguisher etc. are great detail add ons. You know some of the model car builder still don’t put roll cages on even the race cars. Date purchased : 2010 Price paid : 90 USD

Isn’t it mind blowing? There is this car company who never changed the design of their one model for 50+ years. Such a recognisable beauty. This one is a ducktail Carrera RS. Not the best 911 though. Dr. Porsche always said “The best 911 is the one that is not yet built.”, or something like that.. AUTOart is becoming unbeatable when it comes to Porsche models. Classic scale model cars are (I think) always more attractive. Even this pale coloured, VW Beetle on Steroids is such a charming little machine. No need to spend much much more on other more expensive manufacturers. This is it. Date purchased : 2012 Price paid : 130 USD

I’ve been waiting for this ever since. As a model, the only thing that mattered to me is and was the color. The pale grey master paint and the vermilion stickers (livery) leap the car forward some steps. The details, wheels, interior etc. Autoart, as said before, has a Porsche standard yet. They build the Porsche’s pretty nice. One boring thing should be the detailing or quality of any Porsche is the same in AutoArt. There are two things to do. 1- Raise the bar, please or 2- pay some more attention to these superior Porsches. Date purchased : 08/2014 Price paid : $200

The car can sprint from standing still to 62 mph in 2.8 secs. Forget about the claims, I’ve done it myself and it is said, and I’ve seen so also, that you can maintain the 2.8-3.2 sec time even after several launches. It is is bullit fast car. Under hard braking the car is unbelievably stable. You don’t expect from a that weighs, wait a minute, only 1430kgs. We’re getting somewhere. So I know that this is not the GT3, or the GT3 RS (which is yet not available in 991 series), but the car does handle and is blisteringly fast. It is hard to beleive this is a Welly. Ok, the paint sucks, brake lights are awful etc. but hey, overall it is a nice model. Brake calipers are very nice as is the interior. It even has seat belts. Welly is trying. Date purchased: 09.2014 Price paid : 30€
